Updates: “One Month to Live” Review and Career

So, I’ve been moseying around with job search/grad school/blogging/life.  And, it certainly hasn’t paid off, in my pocket or general life satisfaction.  However, I have some big news.  I decided what I want to do with my life.

But before I tell you what specifically it is, I would like to apologize for my lameness following the “One Month To Live” book plan.  Aside from general laziness, in my efforts to publish my “journey” and “results”  I had to take take the book back.

I borrowed it from the library.  By the time I had fully (mentally) committed myself to the program (about 2 weeks after I started),  I went to renew the book from the library.  I couldn’t.  Someone else had reserved it and it had to go back.  A 30 day program is useless if you only have the book for 21 days.  Hopefully, I can buy it soon…

That being said, I decided I want to be a critic.  Someone who reviews books, movies, everything.   I went to apply for a job at demand studios and I had to send a sample. I sent them “Revisiting Yoko Ono’s Grapefruit: A Book of Instructions and Drawings”  And that’s when it hit me.  I wrote this article my last semester of college: a long time ago.  But that’s what I’m good at.  I don’t need anyone’s approval, or instruction to do it.  I can just do it and hopefully get paid for it.
